Nearly every SNAFU Customs order is printed to order in Lauf an der Pegnitz, Germany, and shipped via Deutsche Post/DHL. A handful of Vampire-line accessories (hats, mugs, the PT tee) are made to order by our print partner and ship directly from their facility — their product pages say so, and their delivery times can differ from the table below. Everything else: here's exactly how long it takes and what it costs — no surprises, no fine print ambush.
Production Times
We don't pull shirts off a shelf; we print yours when you order it.
- Standard production: 3–5 business days
- Express production: 1–3 business days
Important: production is not shipping. Express production means we print your order faster — it does not mean DHL grows wings. Shipping time gets added on top (math below).

DHL Express to the US is not available for APO/FPO addresses — express carriers can't deliver into the military mail system.
We currently ship to Germany, the EU, EFTA countries, the UK, and the US (including APO/FPO). Nowhere else for now.
How Long Until It Arrives
Total time = production time + delivery time. Both estimates are in business days.
Worked example: a standard-production order shipped US Standard is 3–5 days of production plus 7–14 days of delivery — roughly 10–19 business days door to door. An express-production order with DHL Express to a US street address lands at roughly 4–8 business days total.
APO & FPO Orders
Yes, we ship to APO and FPO addresses — a lot of our customers wear the uniform, and we haven't forgotten how mail call works.
- US Standard rate applies: $15.95 flat.
- Your package travels via international handoff into the USPS military mail system, so allow extra transit time beyond the standard US estimate.
- Enter your full military address exactly as required: grade, unit, APO/FPO designation (e.g., APO AE), and ZIP code. A shortcut here is the number one cause of lost packages.
Customs & Duties
Germany & EU: orders ship from Germany, so EU deliveries move freely — no customs, no duties, no drama.
UK, Switzerland, Norway & Iceland: these are outside the EU customs union, so your country may charge import VAT or duties on arrival — that bill belongs to the recipient, not us. Check your country's low-value import rules if you want to know before ordering.
United States: you are the importer of record. Low-value personal imports usually clear US customs without additional charges, but that decision belongs to the carrier and US Customs, not us — we can't promise a zero. Import rules can change, so if duties apply, they're the recipient's responsibility.
Tracking
You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your shipping label is created. Give it a few hours to show movement — a label exists before the package hits the truck.
